Weight and battery life
The Acer Aspire One weighs 960 grams This undercuts the Eee PC 900 it by 40 grams and the Aldi-Netbook much as 180 grams, the flip side: Acer is building only one 3-cell battery (24 Wh). Thanks to Linux and many programs install the Aspire One can operate comfortably. But there should be some tools to install more sophisticated and efficient alternatives, the Linux experts instead of the Acer offer.
The computing power goes out completely for the limited use area of the Aspire One. A clear downside is the low disk space: This is the Medion Akoya with its 80 GB hard drive set up much better. About the storage expansion slot can be the Acer netbook space but upgrade quickly.
The keyboard is also suitable for frequent and Schnellschreiber – at least better than the Asus Eee PC. The reference but remains the somewhat larger and more stable keyboard of the Medion Akoya E1210. The small touchpad, with its unusual arrangement of the keys was irritated by the practice operating very much.
In the mobile use of the Aspire One was light and shadow: it is very easy, but the battery life too short. The mirror-like display indoors, it is less suitable for outdoors.
